When I stumbled on the Whole30, I was in the worst physical shape of my life. Having (barely) made it through the most traumatic year on record, I focused what little energy I had on my mental and spiritual self. It's not a decision I regret by any means; it was completely necessary and I'm glad I took the time to heal my broken spirit. However, at the start of 2016, I felt ready to take control of my eating habits. I'm passionate about the Whole30 because it helped me reclaim the health of my physical body, thus putting the final piece of my healing in place.
