The ULTIMATE Feel-Good, Do-Good Holiday Gift Guide!
Hey folks! Welcome to my ultimate feel-good, do-good gift guide! I'm so excited to bring you this list because every item can be purchased guilt-free, and either directly benefit charitable causes or simply support companies/entrepreneurs who do business as ethically and transparently as possible. Further, there's a wide range of price ranges to suit every budget and gift recipient. So, let's get started, shall we? Like, share, and let me know which one is your favorite!
I've written about Uncommon Goods before and I cannot get enough of them! They are one of the most responsible and fair companies I've ever come across, and this applies to employees as well as the artists who create their impressive selection.
I first discovered this brand through Hayley Morgan's blog, The Tiny Twig. She and her husband founded the company in order to create ethically-made goods for families. In addition to providing beautiful basics for boys and girls, I fell in love with their process and story. I'm a sucker for people who are passionate about what they do.
This is one of my favorites in the series created by Joana Vulaca, the artist behind Love & Papaya! Because she's a dear friend of mine, I'm lucky enough to have an original work in my possession--it was created especially for my daughter, Joy, and I couldn't more enamored with it! Although I personally love the message above, there is an option to customize the wording and font color.
Not only are these little guys incredibly adorable, but a portion of the proceeds from their sale goes to Toys For Tots! You can certainly display them on their own (or take 'em to see The Force Awakens!), but we actually nestled them in our Christmas tree.
This beautiful hand-crafted leather bag is not only easy on the eyes, but ethically-sourced. FashionABLE is committed to helping women around the world use their creative power while earning a living. Read more about the company here.
This awesome family is working to earn money to help offset the cost of adopting a little one, a cause near and dear to my heart! Because it is a small family business, they only open up sales on Tuesdays, the next and final day being December 15th. Like their Facebook page in order to stay abreast of availability!
This cozy sweater is a bit of splurge, but the quality cannot be beat. Also, thanks to Everlane's "Radical Transparency", you can be sure your purchase has been created as responsibly as possible.
I was already a fan of REI, but when I read about their movement to #OptOutside of Black Friday, I immediately added them to this guide. A company that chooses people over profits will always have my support. Plus, this hat is adorable, functional, and, as of this writing, on sale!
How cool is this wand, though?! I'm kinda dying to know how that twisting detail was created, honestly. There are tons of other styles, so head to Colevanders to snag a few wands for the Harry Potter fan(s) in your life!
These sweet bowls will not only liven up your favorite soup or cereal, but you'll feel even better knowing 50% of the proceeds go to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. There are more items as part of the promotion so check them out here.
Have an "arm party" with these pretty handmade bracelets from Waking Wonderland! I know the woman behind this brand and can personally vouch for her awesomeness. She's one of the most generous, inspiring folks I know and you can read more about her right here.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Ultimate Feel-Good, Do-Good Holiday Gift Guide! I hope it inspires and helps as you shop for loved ones during the holiday season! I, for one, am happy to know it's possible to use my hard-earned money to purchase fabulous gifts that are also ethically and responsibly produced. Happy shopping!
