So, I haven't really talked too much about my latest pregnancy on here, and I'm not completely sure why. I did go through a period of not wanting to share anything, second-guessing what I'd already chosen to share, and debating whether or not to have a blog at all! Right around Halloween, I saw so much ugliness on the internet and I really wasn't sure I wanted to subject myself, let alone my precious babies to the possibility of public ridicule. However, after praying and thinking deeply about it, I've decided to continue blogging--because I love it!--while also taking care to be selective of what I mention. The internet is forever, so I certainly don't want to publicize anything that might embarrass my kids as they get older.
This is all a very long-winded way of saying I'm ready to talk more freely about this pregnancy! To start, I'd like to answer a series of questions. I'm not sure if I'll continue in this format, but it's a nice way to get the ball rolling. Here we go!
How far along
: 19 weeks
: 8-9 lbs.
: Sometimes. I'm mostly still wearing my regular pants and shirts with my Belly Band, I'm pretty sure I'll be exclusively in maternity clothes by next month.
: Tons, thanks to my firstborn! I've noticed my skin is more dry this time around, so I'm slathering my whole body with Nivea and spritzing with rose water. Those two items keep me smelling good and thoroughly moisturized.
: Last night was fantastic--I didn't even wake up to go to the bathroom--but in general, I toss and turn. I'm normally a stomach sleeper, so adjusting to being on one side or the other has been a battle, but I'm hanging in there. I think a body pillow is in my future, though…
Best moment this week
: Feeling the baby move brings me so much joy! That's one aspect of pregnancy that never ceases to amaze me.
: WINE & SUSHI. My first postpartum date night with my husband will definitely involve these two things!
: Yup, mostly in the lower right corner of my belly. Baby likes it there for some reason.
: Sugar and carbs, but I've had to be somewhat disciplined (for me, anyway) because if I eat too much, I get nauseous. I can't eat hardly any sugar because it makes me ill, too. I thought that was just a first trimester thing, but apparently not. Lately, I've been reaching for clementines (aka, Cuties), which is random. I swear they're like manna from heaven! Also, ice-cold water is my go-to drink more than anything else. I can't get enough of it.
: Chipotle, oddly enough. Ordinarily, I adore that place, but right now the thought of it makes me gag.
: GIRL and I'm still in shock…
: No, thank God! I definitely want this li'l girl to stay in there until 38 weeks at the earliest.
: My first trimester was really hard for me, but I'm finally starting to feel better. Some days, I struggle with nausea, but my energy is returning for the most part and I'm so thankful for that. The boobs are out of control, which is funny to me. This is my third kid, but pregnancy boobs always catch me by surprise! Trying to adjust to those has been interesting. All is well, overall. Praise the Lord!
: Blunt! It seems I've got no patience for nonsense, tomfoolery, or shenanigans. Engage at your own risk! Lol
Looking forward to
: Celebrating the holidays and enjoying our time together as a foursome. Baby Girl's not due until the spring, so I want to focus on our little guys before she gets here. They need me, too!
This was around 17-18 weeks, I think.
