Local Adventures: At The Denver Chalk Art Festival!
I'm so excited to share some of our adventures at the Denver Chalk Art Festival with you, today! The kids and I had an absolute blast hanging with our fellow Colorado peeps in Larimer Square. We explored each little street, took in some rather amazing artwork, indulged in (FREE) food, courtesy of Einstein's Bagels and So Delicious, and even got our hands dirty with a bit of chalk. All in all, it was a great day, so I wanted to share some snapshots with you and encourage you to make your way there, next year! It's a family- and budget-friendly must!
As you can see, the Denver Chalk Art Festival was the place to be and I cannot WAIT to go back next year! I'm thinking we'll shoot for the second day and see more finished pieces, just to change things up. I do wonder, though, what if it rains? Random, I know, but all that work could potentially be lost...
Anyway, I'm so pleased with how our summer is unfolding! We decided to make the most of it and so far, we've been doing just that. I guess we just needed a plan and a schedule to stick to, y'know? If you're in the Denver area and looking for family fun, check out my post on free things to do this summer! It's got over 70 ideas to choose from and just about all of them are free. Plus, there's a pre-filled calendar for you to download and stick to your fridge!
How are you spending the summer in your neck of the woods? I'd love to know what you're doing in your town, so leave a comment below!
