Local Adventures: A Taste Of Puerto Rico Festival!

Local Adventures: A Taste Of Puerto Rico Festival!

Hey friends! Welcome back to another installment in my Local Adventures series, where I shine a spotlight on the wonderful things to do here in Denver, Colorado! Today, I'm sharing a few pics from the A Taste of Puerto Rico Festival, which took place last weekend. We had a ball! The food, music, and people were a joy to behold! It was our first time at this particular festival, but I'm certain it will be a summertime tradition!

Festivals are one of my favorite ways to learn about and introduce the kids to new cultures. They're perfect for laying the foundation for exploration, world travel, and respect for how others' live their lives. Once the children get older, we'll start planning trips to see various countries in person, but for now, cultural festivals provide a wonderful, delicious starting point.

My only regret is that weren't able to stay longer (Hubs had to go to work, womp!), but we still had a wonderful time hanging out at Civic Center Park, eating, and enjoying the sunshine. Will definitely be sure to add A Taste of Puerto Rico to our calendar next year!

How is your summer going so far? I'd love to hear what you're doing in your neck of the woods, so be sure to leave a comment below!

Curious about what else we're doing this season? Check out my latest video! I'm sharing the summertime activities that beat the boredom without breaking the bank. I'm also collaborating with Trista Laborn of A Purpose Driven Wife, so you'll get to how she's entertaining her kiddos in San Diego, CA. Click on the image to watch the video!

You don't have to leave your city to learn about the world! Cultural festivals are a wonderful way to introduce the family to new foods, music, and people! Click through to see our adventures at Denver's Puerto Rican Festival.
